Atomic's NBA Monday Best Bet: 76ers @ Pacers - 3/6

Atomic loves this spot for Buddy Hield as the Pacers host the 76ers tonight!

We are going back to Buddy Hield in another good spot for him against the 76ers, this 14.5 line is just way to low for someone like Hield who can score 5-7 in a quarter with ease. Hield has gone over this line in 44/55 Games when he plays 27+ minutes & had 18 & 24 vs this 76ers team. Tyrese Haliburton will get most of the defensive attention but Melton is no longer in this starting lineup so I assume Tyrese should have an easier matchup & so should Hield which would only help him getting open & with such a low line this should be easy for Hield even in a tough matchup if I am being honest. Philadelphia has been giving up the #11 most points per game to shooting guards - compared to their average over the last 30 days (+2.8).

Since Maxey has been starting the 76ers have had the #26 Defensive Rating so they really haven't been good defensively & this line is already low for someone like Hield. Harden or Harris will likely guard him & they will struggle to guard him through screens Embiid drop defense isn't helping either so Hield should get some open looks just needs to convert as he has in so many games to this low line. Buddy Hield averages 17.3 points per game & attempts 13.4 FGA & 9 3PTA so his volume is insane he just needs to be average if anything a bit worse & still go over this line against a poor defensive team where he has had previous success even when they did have Melton starting. Low line for Hield & we will take advantage everything lines up for him in this one as long as he is aggressive early & takes advantage of a weak defensive unit.
