Both of these teams had a relatively easy road to the round of eight. Argentina had one of the easiest groups and still dropped the ball vs Saudi Arabia. They won their knockout match vs Australia, but I have to say the Aussies played extremely well. The Netherlands faced a slightly tougher test in knockouts vs team USA. The Netherlands easily handled that game thanks to Dumfries absolutely cooking the right hand side. Memphis looks to have found his form and we should be in for a great match.

Julian Alvarez of Argentina is heating up. He has proven that he will maximize his opportunities in front of net. Alvarez has goals in consecutive games and looks to be the new starter over Lautaro Martinez. Lautaro has not shown his finishing ability this tournament and continues to miss hit prime chances. If Alvarez continues to start, I will continue to back his props. Messi is going to be the obvious focal point. I know he will take the PK’s but we've seen him struggle from the spot. Messi also has a history of struggling to score in the knockout rounds. I personally will be looking at his assist props as opposed to his goal props.

Cody Gakpo may not have scored vs the US, but he still does have three goals. Gackpo is red hot this tournament. With the Netherlands as underdogs, we will be able to extract a lot of value out of their player props. I think this Netherland team can actually advance over Argentina. Memphis will need to step up and have another big game. I like Dumfries in the midfield pressing forward on the right as opposed to playing right back. It gives this team more creativity and keeps pressure in the opponent's third. If Virgil van Dijk, Nathan Ake, and Jurrien Timber can hold down the back line, the Netherlands will be in great shape to press this game and take the fight to Argentina.
